Dr Kit Bills established the practice in Scarness in May 2014. He completed his medical studies through the University of Queensland and is a fellow of the Royal Australian college of General practice (RACGP). Dr Bills has an extensive and varied experience as a general practitioner. His special areas of interest are paediatrics and skin care, performing skin cancer checks and excisions of lesions at the practice.

Dr Brian Biggs competed his medical studies at the University of Queensland and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP). His special areas of interest are paediatrics, integrated medicine (natural health) and counselling from a Christian perspective. Dr Biggs has resided in Hervey Bay for over a decade with his family.

Dr David Yang commenced practicing at Scarness Medical Centre in February 2016. He has been working in Hervey bay for the over 10 years. He completed his medical studies in Melbourne and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. Dr Yang shares his time between Scarness Medical Centre, Admitting GP at St Stephens Private Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospice.

Dr Sue Cory joined our practice in December 2023. She has practiced in Far North Queensland and internationally. She has a strong focus on integrative medicine. Her special interests include gut health, women's health, nutritional, mental health and brain chemistry.

Dr Rams Kulandaivelu
Dr Rams is an ACRRM Fellowship Registrar. With over 10 years of Australian clinical experience, including five years in general practice and formal emergency medicine qualifications, he brings a strong acute care capability. His work across Australia, India, Maldives, and Malaysia has shaped his adaptability, while a year in an Aboriginal Medical Service formed strengthened commitment to culturally safe, community‑focused care.
He has a broad scope of practice and a strong commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across all stages of life. His clinical interests include children's and womens health; mental health; adult and geriatric medicine and chronic disease management.
In addition, he has a special interest in skin cancer medicine. He offers thorough skin checks, as well as biopsy and excision procedures.

Dr Sara Rafehi - Commencing August 2026
Dr Rafehi completed her MBBS from Western Sydney University and prior studies at UNSW, the University of Sydney, and Varna Medical University. She joins us as an ACRRM Fellowship registrar, previously working as a Senior House Officer in Emergency Medicine at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, following RMO, JMO, and AiMs roles in Wollongong and Sydney. She holds general medical registration, is skilled in core clinical procedures, and has completed ALS and MHFA training. Her experience includes extensive volunteering with Cancer Council, NeuRA, and university programs, and she has contributed to research on youth mental health during COVID‑19.

Catherine is our experienced practice nurse and practice manager. As our nurse she has an active involvement in completing health reviews, spirometry, audiology, wound care, assisting with procedures and performing vaccinations, venesections and IV infusions. Catherine is a qualified Immunsation Practice Nurse, with extensive experince in chronic disease management and critical care nursing.
