Dt Kit Bills established the practice in Scarness in May 2014. He completed his medical studies through the University of Queensland and is a fellow of the Royal Australian college of General practice (RACGP). Dr Bills has an extensive and varied experience as a general practitioner. His special areas of interest are paediatrics and skin care, performing skin cancer checks and excisions of lesions at the practice.

Dr Brian Biggs competed his medical studies at the University of Queensland and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP). His special areas of interest are paediatrics, integrated medicine (natural health) and counselling from a Christian perspective. Dr Biggs has resided in Hervey Bay for over a decade with his family.

Dr David Yang commenced practicing at Scarness Medical Centre in February 2016. He has been working in Hervey bay for the over 10 years. He completed his medical studies in Melbourne and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. Dr Yang shares his time between Scarness Medical Centre, Admitting GP at St Stephens Private Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospice.

Dr Barbara Hoare joined the practice in 2022 and is our most experienced member. Her special interest area is women’s health and integrated medicine.

Barbara graduated from UNSW in 1980 and has been working in rural general practice (non-procedural). Since then with a special interest in nutritional/integrative medicine and avoiding polypharmacy as much as possible. 

Working at Scarness has been a pleasure as part of a team of talented, caring people from receptionists to our RN and GPs.

Dr Sue Cory recently joined our practice in December 2023. She has practiced in Far North Queensland. She has a strong focus on integrative medicine. Her special interests include gut health, women's health, nutritional, mental health and brain chemistry.

Catherine is our experienced practice nurse and practice manager. As our practice nurse she has an active involvement in completing health reviews, performing tests, attending to wound care, assisting with procedures and administering vaccines or injectable medications.
